Hafiz Shafiq Sahib
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
It is with great sadness we confirm that Hafiz Shafiq Ahmed Sahib, brother of Mufti Maqbool Ahmed Sahib RA, and one of the first Imams of Glasgow Central Mosque, has returned back to his creator in Pakistan.
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
To Allah swt we belong and to Him we return.
He was originally an Imam at the Carlton Place masjid prior to Glasgow Central Mosque being built, and a teacher of many generations of students. This is a great loss to the community.
We pray Allah swt accepts Hafiz Saab’s khidmat and deeds, forgives his sins, makes his resting place a garden of paradise and elevates his ranks in Jannat al Firdous. And Allah swt grants patience to his family and friends.
